April 2006 - Falk-PLI Awards Annual Scholarship at Purdue University

Andrew Kincaid, from Highland, IN, was awarded the Falk-PLI scholarship as part of the College of Engineering's Civil Scholarship and Fellowship Program.

Andrew graduated from Highland High School in June 2002 and is an active member in Zeta Psi Fraternity, Chi Epsilon Civil Engineering Honor Society, and Indiana Society of Professional Land Surveyors.

The scholarship is awarded to a junior or senior civil engineering student who is pursuing a degree in land surveying engineering with academic standing.

December 2006 - AIST Announces Winners of Reliability Achievement Award

Falk-PLI's client, CitiSteel, Claymont, Delaware is recognized by AIST.

The AIST Maintenance and Reliability Technology Division established the Reliability Achievement Award to recognize iron and steel producing companies and the individuals within them that have developed, applied and proved a new practice, policy or procedure that significantly improves reliability in iron and steelmaking in North America.

CitiSteel, was awarded the Silver Award for the development of a computer software package to assist in shim calculations that improved bearing pad shimming practices for the caster banana frame, improving product quality and maintenance practices.

August 2006 - Falk -PLI Announces New Director of Sales & Marketing

Deana K. Lecy joins Falk-PLI as Director of Sales & Marketing. Deana is a native of Northwest Indiana and brings over 15 years of steel related experience. Prior to joining Falk-PLI, Deana served as Division Manager - Sales & Marketing for Mittal Steel's Burns Harbor Facility. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Valparaiso University and a MBA from Loyola University.
